While you were searching
my whereabouts,I was standing
next to an oak tree…
when all the leaves came out
of deep slumber and the wintery
dusk descended, it was about
time for me to lurk beneath
those ancient roots and search
in raven labyrinths, the meaning
of icy darkness that possesses
you and me and hibernate with
-in them till eternity…
very nice
Thanks a lot Shubham
An excellently written poem.
Funny, I was just watching a video on YouTube where a woman was singing an old Irish folk song about the Ash Grove (grove of ash trees) and I come to WordPress and you’ve written a poem about standing next to an ancient oak tree.
Thanks Count, for your very kind words! Now thatβs a coincidence…Oak trees , gloom and Irish folk songs…
What Carl Jung called synchronicity.
Yep aching hearts bleed together…
Welcome back after long time with this excellent piece ππ
Thanks Anjali, hope you are doing good. Iβm humbled by your kind words!
You’re always welcome, I am doing good enjoying Vacations in Himachal πππ
Wow nice, enjoy yourself!
Thank you ππ
Ah, this is beyond beautiful… It really is. It gave me goosebumps. What a poem!!!!

Thanks a lot G, Iβm truly humbled. Iβve been busy too and couldnβt write anything. Iβm glad you appreciated my words!
Well, if busy produces this kind of poetry, we must keep you busy. Seriously this poem left me speechless for a few seconds.
Coming from a splendid poet like you it means a lot. I wrote this last evening despite the change in weather I felt like hibernating and not come out. May be it is the introverted me!
It’s your talent, Tanya, Stay warm π Sending you some sunshine π
Thanks a lot sending love β€οΈ
Lovely Tanya. I know youβve been busy and itβs always refreshing to see your poetic flow. πβ€οΈ
Thanks Ron, I appreciate your kind words! Hope you are doing fine!
Doing fine. Thank you. I’m sure you are glad to have warmer weather now. π
Yes the weather is better now, I should move to Florida I feel, for perennial sunshine though!
Florida has a good combination of sunshine and rain for sure – and more bugs and critters. However, it is pleasant most of the time. This past week has already been seeing the high 90s consistently. It’s not bad though until humidity kicks in, which is pretty regular. π
Itβs better than here at least, where we are confined almost 7 months inside …
Oh my Tanya. You need to “break out.” I recently traveled through the Midwest, meandering along and it’s still quite cool, especially compared to the southeast. Spirits should brighten soon. π
Damn, that is the only place I didn’t look for you π – glad you are back – beautiful poetry
Thanks dear for your kindness, I guess Iβm back!
Glad to hear you are. My pleasure always
Thanks Shantanu! Always appreciate it!
